EDC FANNY PACKS

ONE SMALL & ONE LARGE

VS

With the Arizona 115f summers just around the corner, I recently started experimenting with a new daily EDC setup. With Fanny packs, especially worn crossbody, back in style, I figured why not give it a shot? Just remember that Fanny pack carry doesn’t count as off-body carry if you keep the bag on your body!

I have tried two of the most popular styles on the market. Something small for the days I want the bare minimum and something large that can handle my full EDC load out from a firearm to a full trauma kit, flashlight, boo-boo kits, and a few personal items.

The Vertex EDC Fanny AND CANIK METE MC9

It's small, comfortable, cute, and realistic for the average woman's EDC. This pack was made in collaboration with Gun Inflancer Lena Miculeck. Vetrex has been my long-time favorite and trusted bag company since about 2017. I still use their sling and large gym bag to this day. The biggest pro to this bag is the fact it looks like the wildly popular LuLu Lemon bag every girl has been rocking for the past few years. Not only does this aid in the bag being "low viz" or non-suspecting, But it is also palatable for the average woman who prioritizes fashion. While, this might not be my priority. I definitely wanted to give this bag a solid try because I've had a lot of girls ask me about it, and I wanted to give my honest opinion. I'm going to be keeping this bag in my arsenal for a minimal go-to or for days when I'm wearing my yoga pants with all of the pockets that can hold a little extra; however, if I'm being honest, it just didn't hold enough. I want my daily go-to to have all of my necessities in one bag.

Pro
  • Stylish

  • Low viz

  • Light weight

  • Durable

Con
  • Small

  • Key ring (there's a fix)

The Eberlestock EDC Fanny With P365 XL

With a sleek, sporty look, durability, and space for all of my things, plus a little more, the Bando XL won my heart as my number one go-to EDC fanny pack for the summer. Next to capacity, my favorite feature about this fanny is how smooth the zipper was when dry firing! Eberlestock is a brand I am new to. I heard about Eberlstock from my husband, who uses their bigger packs. After a month of wearing this fanny pack daily, I can truly appreciate the fit and finish. I definitely want to see what else they have to offer because I was so impressed with the quality. For my fanny pack, I chose the coyote color because I thought it was the lowest viz. While still cute enough to go with most of my casual outfits, if you're like tactical, they have various prints available, including camo.

The smooth round corners give a quick and reliable firearm draw. The side wing supports conceals my blade nicely and gives the knife a nice blade draw.

Pro
  • Sporty

  • Low viz or tacti cool options

  • Smaller size available

  • Durable

  • Large Capacity

  • Zippers!!!!!

Con
  • Less stylish for some women

  • Wish it had a zip pouch in the back for a wallet
