Why The Flash Bang Or Bra Holsters Are Unsafe
Here is my issue with the flash bang holster and others like it. Any holster that connects to your bra and rests in your chest area is considered incredibly unsafe. The reason for this is that when you draw to fire or remove the gun from the retention of the Kydex holster, the downward pool can very easily cause the barrel of the gun to point directly at your face. This is exactly how several women now have shot themselves in the face and died while using this holster.
Even if you were adjusting the flash-bang holster, you’re wiggling the loaded gun around your “box,” which is the most vulnerable area to receive a gunshot wound. The “box” includes your head, neck, and center mass of your chest. The likelihood of a shot being taken in this area versus anywhere else on your body is critical and will almost only result in death.
The other issue I have with the flash bang holster is the fact it would be very hard to draw from if attacked from behind, as women, as we see when studying random violent attacks, often are.
There are other ways to conceal carry as a woman without changing your dress. Here are two other options I recommend.
