Realistic Firearms Training for Defensive Application

If you were to fear for your life the next time you left your home, do you have any idea of how to defend yourself?

Lots of us are guilty of spending too much time worrying about what gear we carry and how to carry it but not enough time actually training realistically for that "what if" day. In the world of firearms training, there are a lot of options available for those who want to improve their shooting skills. However, not all training is created equal, and not all training is geared towards the same purpose. While static range shooting can be useful for improving your aim and accuracy, it is not the same as realistic firearms training for defensive application.

My Experience with Independence Training's Defensive Handgun Course

Recently, I took a Defensive Handgun Course taught by Independence Training that focused on realistic training for defensive situations. The class covered a range of topics that went far beyond simply improving shooting accuracy. The most valuable thing was simply building a survival mindset. While it might not be a fun thing to think about, it's necessary for those who have decided to take their safety as their own responsibility. For shooting fundamentals, we worked on marksmanship at varied distances on various types of targets, reloading and malfunction clearance techniques, defensive presentation from the holster, shooting and moving, and engaging multiple targets.

I must say that it was an incredible experience. The class was taught by a team of instructors who were all highly knowledgeable and skilled in their craft. They provided one-on-one attention throughout the entire course, ensuring that we all received the best instruction possible.

The instructors were very safety-minded, and their focus on safety was evident in every aspect of the class. Each of their instuctors that day were educated in emergency trama medince and they made us all educated on where the medical supplies were before we started. They took the time to explain the proper handling and use of firearms, and they were always available to answer any questions we had. They made sure that we all understood the importance of safety, and they emphasized it throughout the entire course.

What really stood out to me was how much the instructors cared about their students. They were always available to provide guidance and support, and they went above and beyond to ensure that we all received the best instruction possible. They were passionate about what they do, and it showed in their teaching.

Overall, I would highly recommend this firearms class to anyone who is serious about improving their skills with a firearm. The team of instructors was outstanding, and the information provided was all relevant and important for real-life application. If you want to learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones, this is the class for you!

I can not recommend Independence Training enough. If you are in Arizona, you're in luck! If not, be sure to follow them to see their travel schedule or email them to host them in your area.
